Twelve-year-old trainers in peaceful and beautiful Verde had already accomplished what many only dream of winning the elite Pokemon League. This success propelled our protagonist into prominence, making them a recognized figure over a sizable portion of the country. The pleasure of discovery and the excitement of friendly skirmishes, especially with a rival who had been with them through thick and thin, made life seem ideal.
A FATAL ENCOUNTER WITH A METEOR
In the state of Verde, your minimum legal age is 12. You’re well-known throughout the region because you’ve already defeated the Pokemon League.
STRANGE REVIVAL AFTER A 5-YEAR SLEEP
Things are going well until one day, you and your adversary engage in a friendly competition. A Dusclops, your opponent’s signature Pokemon, readies a Curse attack for your Pokemon. A little rock, a meteorite about the size of a baseball’s fourth inning, appears out of nowhere and streaks right at you at the last second as it unleashes the move! As a result of being surprised and distracted, the Dusclops inadvertently places the curse on you.
THE DOCTOR’S ORDER: EXPLORING THE VERDE COAST
Your Pokemon seems to know what to do; it floats upward and darts in front of you, directly into the meteorite’s path. Your Pokemon takes a fatal wound before you can process what just happened, and you pass out.
DECIPHERING THE MYSTERY OF THE UNSEEN DELIVERER
There’s an unusual occurrence…An unknown power struck the meteor. Five years later, you find yourself awake but without your Pokemon. You come out of a coma in your bedroom after having a strange dream that includes a person who seems somewhat familiar. After consulting with your mom, you go to the local physician (who, ironically, received his M.D. in Pokemon Research while you were out) for advice on how to deal with your amnesia. So that the sluggish doctor may finally finish the Pokedex project we gave him. The next step is? How come you haven’t died yet? What or who stopped it from happening? Explore it through play!
