A highly modified version of Pokémon Crystal, Pokémon Prism takes place in a territory that has not been thoroughly explored up until this point. It improves upon gameplay while also introducing brand-new mechanisms that have never been seen before in the franchise that inspired it.
Pokémon Prism is a completely new experience that gamers of all ages are guaranteed to have a good time with since it has a vast terrain to adventure in that is loaded with one-of-a-kind challenges, new regions to explore, and new ways to play.
When initial development of Prism came to an end in late 2016, the source code for the program tragically became available online. Independent from the original developers, a small team was assembled to finish putting the remaining pieces of code together in order to complete this 9-year legacy. RainbowDevs is an organization that employs some of the most well-known Gameboy and Pokémon developers, and its goal is to enhance, fix, and maintain this enormous project. Remains of intended features, undocumented updates, and new regions were found in the coder after it was cleaned out. These are the foundational tenets upon which the new team will build its efforts in an effort to honor and respect the vision of the game’s original designer.
