The Russian Mega Drive game Counter Strihe is a hacked version of the American game Lethal Enforcers. Note that the word “strike” is spelled incorrectly. The fact that this game has the same name as the immensely popular first-person shooter game Counter-Strike lends credence to the hypothesis that it was released sometime after the year 2000. The theory is strengthened even further by the fact that both Counter-Strike and Lethal Enforcers involve officers attempting to fight against terrorists while also attempting to either save or not harm hostages, and also by the fact that both games take place in comparable settings, such as an office building.
The only thing that was changed was the title. Since the game is first written in English and then translated into Russian, the texts have not been altered in any way, and it is quite probable that the NTSC-U/C or PAL version of the game was used.
