The Sega Genesis version of “Sonic the Hedgehog” has been modified in this way. The beginning stage is rather creative in its design. The majority of the other level models have been left unaltered; however, their color palettes have been updated and they have been given new names. Although the majority of the level designs and aesthetics remain the same from one area to the next, there is a substantial quantity of music featured.

There are secret tunes throughout the show, and each act has its own distinct theme. In all, there are 71 tracks, which is a significant increase over the standard number of 22 seen in the base game. Those who are familiar with the original game will undoubtedly know at least some of these tunes.
