Mario Party 3: Grunty’s Furnace Fun

Welcome all, Grunty’s the name, and you are here to play my game! This final test will see me win, when you all fail then I’ll be thin! Somewhere soon along the way, your lack of skill will make my day! So step on over to the square.

This board (with a few adjustments) turns Grunty’s Furnace Fun into a fully playable Mario Party 3 board! The spaces and objects on the board follow a similar pattern to what you’d normally expect from a MP3 board, but there’s a lot of unique strategies that can only be pulled off due to the board’s special events. Even if you’re not a fan of Banjo Kazooie or know nothing about it, the experience this board provides is great for everybody. (Granted, Banjo-Kazooie fans will have a small advantage on this board)

Happening Spaces:
Warp Cauldron: The player will be teleported to the other cauldron of the same color. Just like Banjo-Kazooie!
Trivia Quiz: The player will be prompted to answer one of Grunty’s Furnace Fun’s original questions. Answering correctly will earn the player 5 coins, while being incorrect will lose the player 10 coins.

Board Events:
Grunty’s Warp: For a fee of 5 coins, Grunty will warp the player back to START, from where they can continue their remaining roll.
Brentilda’s Tip: Gruntilda’s nicer sister Brentilda will give the player the answer to the next personal Grunty question.

Misc. Events:
Boo: Before accessing Boo, the player will have to answer a personal Grunty question. The answer to this question is randomized at the start of the game and every time the player gets it correctly, and it is different for every player. If the player answers incorrectly, they lose 50 coins, or a Star, if they do not have 50 coins. Afterwards, they are warped back to START, from where they’ll continue their roll. If the player answers correctly, they’ll be able to see Boo as per usual.
