Night of Doom: The Perfect Run

Night of Doom: The Perfect Run is a minor ROM Hack made by StanFuzz, which once again, is another expansion of the original Night of Doom created by BroDute.

It focuses more on Super Mario Galaxy 2’s concept of the Perfect Run (Grandmaster Galaxy’s prankster comet star), which is to survive throughout sections without getting hit or dying.

In Night of Doom, it gathers 10 of the 15 hardest stages in different order and sections have been altered or expanded in order to make the challenge much more frantic.

There are two versions both featuring only one Star: the Normal version, which intends to be the main difficulty as a way to test the players’ platforming skills; and the Lite version, whose new checkpoint system is added and aimed at players wanting to continuously keep playing without starting over.

Also, both versions have easter eggs hidden in several locations that can be found throughout the game. The only differences are the new music tracks and the ending area that is rewarded once the star is collected.
