This is a ROM hack for Super Mario 64 that allows you to play as a Finalized version of the Gigaleak Luigi, just as the Nintendo devs would have had him in the game if they had been able to include him in 1996. The prophecy of L is Real 2401 came true when, exactly 24 years and one month after the launch of Super Mario 64, the official Nintendo model for Luigi was discovered to be available for download on the internet.
PimpUigi believed that despite the fact that Cjes had created a wonderful Super Luigi 64, King Geoshi Koopshi had improved upon it in Super Luigi 64 1.1, and True64 had brought us Super Luigi 64 2.0 as a result of those efforts, there had simply not been a way to play as Luigi the way Nintendo would have made him in 1996. Despite the fact that Cjes had created Super Luigi 64, King Geoshi Koopshi had improved upon it in Super Luigi That is, prior to the release of Mario Kart 64, Super Mario 64 DS, or Luigi’s Mansion. If Nintendo had included Luigi in Super Mario 64, what would they have done with him? In any case, the fulfillment of that prophesy brought us our first look at such a thing over the summer of this year, and within this improved version of Super Luigi 64, you will find the official Nintendo model for Luigi! (this was accomplished thanks to the hard work and perseverance of Marshivolt)
PimpUigi is delighted to provide you with Super Luigi 64: Definitive Edition, which features a presentation that is 100 percent complete, additional code to enable widescreen compatibility for GlideN64 and Jabo 1.6, and the removal of the black rings that formerly surrounded the HUD icons.
