The game begins with James Bond at Lake Como, Italy, when he is dispatched to kidnap Mr. White from his mansion. Bond and White successfully flee after defeating the resistance at the White mansion. White is transferred to Siena, Italy, where Bond and M question him about Quantum, an organization unknown to MI6 at the time. White escapes with the help of M’s bodyguard, Mitchell, who is a traitor. Bond pursues Mitchell across the rooftops and engages him in the fight, where Mitchell is thrown into a fall and dies.
