Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo’s Dungeon (Hepburn: Chokobo no Fushigi na Danjon) Square Enix created the Wii role-playing game Toki Wasure no Meiky, which is Japanese for “Chocobo’s Mystery Dungeon: the Labyrinth of Forgotten Time.” It is an episode from the Chocobo series that centers on Chocobo and his journey to liberate a village trapped in time from endless amnesia. The development process began in 2006. Critics complimented the game’s narrative, visuals, and usage of Final Fantasy nostalgia but criticized the game’s superficial and monotonous gameplay. On October 30, 2008, an improved game port for the Nintendo DS was published in Japan. Chocobo’s Mystery Dungeon: Every Buddy! was published in 2019 for the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4. Cid to Chocobo no Fushigi na Dungeon: Toki Wasure no Meiky DS+ (DS+, Sido to Chokobo no Fushigi na Danjon) is an improved port. Toki Wasure no Meiky DS Purasu (lit. Cid and Chocobo’s Mystery Dungeon: the Labyrinth of Forgotten Time DS+) was published for the Nintendo DS in Japan on October 30, 2008. It introduces a new plot centered on Cid and new jobs for the characters to learn.
