It is a spin-off of 5th Cell’s 2007 blockbuster game, Drawn to Life, which was released for the Nintendo DS, and it is based on the Nickelodeon animated comedy series SpongeBob SquarePants, specifically the episode “Frankendoodle.” Altron, a Japanese video game developer, was in charge of the game’s development, and Play THQ was in charge of the game’s publishing. It became accessible to customers in North America on September 15, 2008, when it was first released.
