One year after the events of Final Fantasy XII, the youthful protagonist Vaan navigates the skies of Ivalice with the help of his faithful navigator, Penelo. Their treasure-hunting exploits led them to the sky continent of Lemurés, where they encountered Llyud, an angel. These strange winged people have lived on the floating continent for ages, but disruption has allowed treasure-seeking sky pirates to enter their once-secret realm. It is up to Vaan and his band of youthful sky pirates to stand up to the intruders and safeguard this remarkable world and its inhabitants.
