From the Abyss

From the Abyss is a dungeon-crawling RPG in which the player controls a custom-made character. The narrative occurs in Rubenhaut, a little country where the earth has been free of monsters for many years since the Dimensional Saint of Light erected Abyss to shut them off in a parallel realm. Rubenhaut was built to protect the entrance. However, the seal was broken one day, and the monster that had been locked off was freed, causing havoc. It is up to the player to explore the globe’s dungeons and gather fragments of a mystical crystal called the Abyss Gate to re-close the rift. Exploring the environment and dungeons, collecting things, slaying foes, absorbing their souls, stealing their talents, and combining them with their existing skills and weaponry for a variety of varied attacks comprise the gameplay. What distinguishes From the Abyss from other RPGs is that everything is randomized each time the player starts a new game, providing a fresh experience. There is also a multiplayer option where two friends may play co-op and progress through the game, eventually facing the main monster, the Abyss Lord.
