Gauntlet

The gameplay is based on the previous two Gauntlet titles, with certain modifications, such as the character leveling system introduced in Gauntlet Legends. The series’ four original classes—Warrior, Valkyrie, Elf, Wizard, and a handful of “fan favorite” opponents—return. Newly recorded versions of the series’ distinctive speech samples are also included, in which a narrator explains occurrences in-game with phrases like “Red Warrior shot the food” and “Wizard is about to die!” The game supports play across both screens and employs an entirely new 3D graphics engine, a local wireless and online four-player mode, 40 maps, and voice chat capabilities. The multiplayer modes in Gauntlet were rumored to feature ranked deathmatch, team deathmatch, and capture the flag.
