Harvest Moon DS: Island of Happiness

Harvest Moon: Island of Happiness is the fourth game in the Harvest Moon series for the Nintendo DS. The player takes control of one of two main protagonists, Mark or Chelsea, who are shipwrecked on an island that was formerly populated but is now uninhabited. The player and other shipwreck survivors must restore life to the island by constructing a farm and recruiting people from the outside to relocate to the island. Players must use either the stylus pen or the d-pad and face buttons to equip tools and objects. Players can raise animals such as cows, chickens, and lambs. Later in the game, after earning specific achievements, a dog and a horse may be unlocked and utilized for particular purposes: the dog is used to defend animals, while the horse is used for transportation and farm labor. Once the player has established their farm, other individuals will begin to arrive on the island, setting stores where the player may purchase additional products and equipment and make new friends. Once the game is halfway finished, players can marry six different bachelors or bachelorettes, unlocking extra things and objectives. Wi-Fi features allow players to have their game ranked on a global leaderboard and speak with other gamers using the DS’s microphone.
