James Cameron’s Avatar: The Game is an action-adventure video game released in 2009 and serves as a precursor to James Cameron’s film Avatar. Ubisoft Montreal was the studio responsible for developing the game, and it was published on December 1, 2009, for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Microsoft Windows, Wii, and Nintendo DS. A version of the PSP was released a few days later, on December 7, 2009. When seen in stereoscopic 3D, it employs the same technology used to create the film. As of May 19, 2010, almost 2.7 million game copies have been sold. Reappearing in their respective roles from the first movie are Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Michelle Rodriguez, and Giovanni Ribisi. Blindlight was responsible for the voice acting and production for Avatar: The Game.
