Take on the role of young ninja Naruto once more as he fights to defend Leaf Village from an army of invaders. The next adventure in the Ninja Council series arrives for Nintendo DS, bringing with it all of the action, adventure, and close combat that fans have come to expect from the blockbuster anime series. This time, Naruto and his teammates from the Leaf Ninja Squad must work together to stop the wicked Orochimaru and his collaborators from carrying out their terrible plans. It’s up to you to lead ninja teams of your choosing through platform-based stages, learning the martial arts along the way. You must pick three team members for each task and play to their abilities to progress. As you go, you’ll unlock additional characters to help you defeat Orochimaru and the other massive enemies, eventually earning 19 playable ninjas. You will fill a chakra meter while fighting. Once complete, your team’s leader can employ exceptional skills such as walking on walls and doing extra-high leaps. You’ll also be able to perform robust techniques by spinning five chakra flames as rapidly as you can on the touch screen. When you combine your two selected sidekicks’ abilities, which can also be triggered via the touch screen, your three-person ninja squad becomes a force to be reckoned with! To assist you, each mission includes a touch-screen mini-game that allows you to drain a boss’s energy level before meeting him. If you don’t beat the games, you’ll face the full wrath of the game’s most formidable adversaries! Choose from 19 playable characters and build three-person ninja teams to take on Orochimaru and his henchmen. To weaken the ultimate bosses, use the touch screen to activate special techniques and play mini-games on each level. Through stylized cut-scenes, enjoy the original series’ smooth anime flair.
