The story of Phantasy Star Zero is set on an alternative Earth 200 years after the Great Blank, a catastrophic battle that left the once-prosperous society in ruins. The few remaining humans have worked hard to live peacefully and have constructed great cities. Hunters are humans who journey beyond the edges of these cities to explore the vast wilderness and hunt hazardous monsters to keep the cities secure. Players will take on the role of hunters, choosing from three distinct races, classes, and genders for 14 unique character types. Each character class will play quite differently, providing players with various equipment, armor, and weaponry. With over 350 distinct weapons, gamers will explore Earth, battle deadly creatures for experience, and meet significant new characters. As players progress, they will learn the mystery of the Great Blank and a terrible new entity that must be stopped.
