The citizens of the world’s leading nations live in peace and prosperity, ignorant that a tremendous evil is lurking on the horizon. Under the pretext of scientific investigation, a shadowy gang prepares to revive a goddess whose time has long gone. They need two things to do this: a vessel of flesh and blood to contain the goddess’s essence and the lives of all living beings offered up as a sacrifice. Ares, an orphan from a small, forgotten hamlet, seeks his fortune as an adventurer against the backdrop of this impending disaster. At the beginning of his adventure, he meets Shiera, a lovely young girl with mysterious talents who has forgotten her memory of herself and the world around her. They go off on an expedition that will eventually determine the fate of the entire globe. Ragnarok Online, the massive global multiplayer online (MMO) sensation, is now available for the Nintendo DS. Ragnarok DS, which has over three million registered users in North America, brings the same addictive gameplay of exploration and customization to a handheld platform, providing the next best thing for the large number of online PC players who are unable to log into their regular Ragnarok Online account from a computer.
