SimCity DS

The visuals of SimCity DS were taken from SimCity 3000, and the game takes advantage of both displays on the Nintendo DS portable system to offer extra user interfaces. Console-exclusive elements are also significant, such as the system’s built-in microphone, which is used to blow out flames, and the touch screen, which is used to operate the interface. Both of these capabilities are utilized often throughout the game. The game requires the player to select a spot in the region, one of five advisers, and then use the touchscreen and pen to sign the town charter before commencing construction on a city. The city and a news ticker are presented on the upper screen of the DS, while the touchscreen shows the map, adviser, information, and buttons.
