The player finds themselves in the vast city of Miniopolis in this quasi-sequel to The Sims: Bustin’ Out. Starting as a simple window washer, the player swiftly becomes engaged in a sinister scheme to take over the city by the greedy businessman Daddy Bigbucks. This time, the tale is considerably more robust, with the player experiencing three vibrant city locations, including the New Orleans-inspired SimQuarter, the gleaming Glasstown district, the grungy Urbania, and even a spooky bayou inhabited by two terrifying Cajun brothers. Aside from the standard Sims gameplay of fulfilling goals, making friends, and designing an apartment, the player may enjoy eight job minigames, a “xizzle” system that allows players to gain unique powers, and many new vehicles like a motorcycle, hoverboard, and fanboat. This, combined with a bizarre sense of humor, results in The Urbz: Sims in the City.
