Rare, a British video game developer, planned to market Banjo-Threeie with Nintendo and Microsoft Studios (then Microsoft Game Studios). Banjo-Kazooie 3 was prepared. After Microsoft acquired Rare, it was developed for the Nintendo GameCube, Xbox, and Xbox 360. Banjo-Threeie may appear in Game Boy Advance’s Banjo-Kazooie: Grunty’s Revenge. Banjo-Threeie is a fictional Banjo-Kazooie game. Banjo-Tooie ends with Gruntilda saying, “Just you wait until Banjo-Threeie…” This gag mocks Banjo-Tooie’s naming method, resulting in the nearly unpronounceable “Banjo-Threeie.” After Tooie’s release, the Banjo-Tooie team started working on Grabbed by the Ghoulies. Gruntilda says, “…just wait for the devious game I make,” even though Rare has no plans for another Banjo-Kazooie game.
