Captain Tsubasa: Ougon Sedai no Chousen

Another chapter in the epic series that started on the NES. The anime and manga Captain Tsubasa serve as inspiration for this video game, more specifically, the “World Youth Team” Arc. It combines a soccer game, something resembling a strategy game (you choose actions from a list), and role-playing game elements (increasing player stats), among other things. As is the case with the source material, the soccer gameplay isn’t remarkably accurate (there are a lot of super moves).
