Darkened Skye

Darkened Skye is an action-oriented 3D role-playing game in which the player takes on the role of the title character and begins on a quest to collect four prisms that may aid in restoring the light of kindness to the planet. Skye of Lynlora was a restless shepherd when she discovered the mysterious artifact that would forever transform her life. She has now opened a portal to another world, and havoc has ensued. Only Skye can put things back together. She will encounter various exotic characters and monsters as she progresses through 30 tasks spread over five different gaming environments. Like some other Simon and Schuster titles (including the Boston Animation-developed M&M’s: The Lost Formulas), this game incorporates heavy product placement in the form of Skittles brand fruit-flavored candy. Indeed, Skittles’ magical power propels Skye through more than one dangerous gaming circumstance. Despite apparent inconsistencies in presenting a known consumer item in a fantastical world, Darkened Skye tries to give the graphical expertise, captivating plot, and cutting-edge gameplay that gamers expect from a big 2002 release.
