Hudson Selection Vol. 1: Cubic Lode Runner

The first installment in Hudson’s new line of affordable reimaginings of old favorites, Cubic Lode Runner, was released earlier this month. This updated version of Lode Runner is based on the original NES release of the game, but it is presented in full 3D and includes additional levels and features. The game’s mechanics have been overhauled to use the additional dimension, and as a result, the player may now move around in three sizes and dig in all directions at once. Despite what numerous previews may have led you to believe, the game is not simply a port of the original NES version.
