Ohenro-San: Hosshin no Dojo is based on the pilgrimage known as the Ohenro, a trek that encompasses 88 temples and spans 1,400 kilometers through the Shikoku area of Japan. Because of the limitations imposed by the capacity of the disk, the GC version only includes representation for 23 of the temples along the path. As you go through the various temples, you must say specific prayers and acquire a unique seal for the diary you keep called the Ohenro. Because each one is specific to its temple, you can keep them as souvenirs of your travels. A pedometer, which counts the number of steps you take, can be used alone before being linked to a GameCube to provide data. The “game” is being created by Pin Change, an entertainment division of Panasonic, a partner of Nintendo.
