Radirgy is a colorful cel-shaded, vertically scrolling shooter with bullet hell elements. A five-stage arcade level, score attack mode, scaling difficulty, and platform-specific methods are included. The novel’s protagonist is radio-allergic blue-haired schoolgirl Shizuru Kamigusa. Ruki Michima’s terrorist group seizes her father’s company, which is developing a cure. Shizuru pilots a flying mecha, a “terminal suit,” to save her father and medicine from terrorists. Pressing a button can dismiss The game’s dialog, but this function can be turned off. Bullet hell gameplay features narrow hit areas and particle swarms.
Except for mini-bosses and stage bosses, bullets arrive in random waves. Three spacecraft with different speeds and three weapons—spread gun, homing laser, and bubble cannon—are available to the player. The player must use other methods for each weapon’s range and speed. They can also improve throughout the game. The player receives their main gun, sword, and shield at the start. Short-range swords can deflect bullets and enemies. This deflection feature lets players “juggle” objects and power-ups. The terminal suit automatically deploys a shield to deflect specific enemy gunfire when not firing. A combo bar determines the score multiplier, which can be increased by harvesting energy from bullets or enemies or using the ABSNET shield, a weapon like Giga Wing or Mars Matrix that kills all small enemies and projectiles on the screen. The ABSNET gauge must be filled with blue items from defeated enemies to use the ABSNET shield. The combo bar gradually fades.
