The Sonic Gems Collection resembles the Sonic Mega Collection, the previous Sonic series compilation. As its name implies, Gems Collection has more obscure Sonic titles. This package focuses on Sonic CD, Sonic R, and Sonic the Fighters. Sonic Game Gear games are also included. The Japanese version consists of the Streets of Rage trilogy, but the North American release replaces it with the two Vectorman games to avoid a more mature rating. “Extras” lets players view Sonic game graphics, promotional material, and demos of several Mega Collection Sonic games.
