X-Men: The Official Game

X-Men: The Official Game is a narrative link between the second and third X-Men films. The player controls Wolverine, Iceman, and Nightcrawler as they deal with the fallout from the Alkali Lake catastrophe. The heroes return to Alkali Lake to reclaim two stolen Cerebro pieces, only to discover that a mysterious organization is salvaging the base. What they find out poses a threat to all mutants… Each of the three playable characters has unique fighting abilities. Wolverine battles from a fixed third-person perspective, and the player must effectively “button mash” his way through swarms of soldiers and legendary X-Men adversaries such as Sabretooth and Lady Deathstrike. Iceman can fly, which he frequently uses when he traverses the ice bridge to fly out and save sites like a nuclear power plant and the Statue of Liberty. As Nightcrawler, the player sees the environment from a free third-person perspective; he has teleportation abilities, allowing him to drop on his adversaries while obtaining the missing Cerebro pieces and rescuing the Brooklyn Bridge from Mirror Man.
