Pokémon native to the region of Paldea has the capacity to Terastallize to acquire unique powers. When a Pokémon Terastallizes, a Tera Jewel emerges on top of its head like a crown, and the Pokémon’s body shimmers and shines like a gemstone that has been cut. Every Pokémon has a Tera Type, but it is dormant until it crystallizes, at which point it becomes active. For instance, most Eevee will have a Normal Tera Type, but some Eevee have a Flying Tera Type! When a Pokémon that has been Terastallized utilizes a move compatible with its new Tera Type and at least one of its original types, the power increase that is applied to that move will be much more pronounced. The ability to crystallize is essential to success or failure in conflicts fought in the Paldea area.

If you choose to play Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet will determine whether the school you attend has a different name, logo, uniforms, and other features. Participate in seminars taught by one-of-a-kind instructors who will share their expertise on topics such as Pokémon battle strategy, Pokémon biology, and more.
