Blood Will Tell: Tezuka Osamu’s Dororo

The players take on the role of a hero in this action-packed battle experience, and their hands and feet become dangerous weapons. Many of Hyakkimaru’s natural bodily parts have been replaced by knives, firearms, and other types of weaponry, so he is missing a few of them altogether. His original limbs have been kidnapped from him by demons, and he is currently on a mission to retrieve them. The fast-paced hack-and-slash action is stitched together on an actual storyline conveyed through many pre-rendered cut sequences. A two-player option is featured, in which the second player takes control of Hyakkimaru’s companion Dororo. This young girl possesses some powerful offensive skills despite her size. The iconic Japanese artist Osamu Tezuka, who may be best known to audiences in the West as the creator of Astro Boy, is the inspiration for the manga series that serves as the basis for Blood Will Tell.
