The young native American boy knew only as Brave lives in the woods by himself. The ancient shaman Grey Bear is working toward his goal of becoming a warrior by planning an excursion and concealing carvings that would grant him new abilities. Despite this, the community is viciously assaulted by the evil entity known as a Wendigo while the search is being conducted. Brave is the only one who has a chance of vanquishing it, but in order for him to do so, he will need to trace the steps of the enigmatic shaman Spirit Dancer, learn about his history, and locate the methods by which to vanquish the malevolent power.
Brave is a 3D puzzle platformer played from the third-person perspective. Brave is a free-roaming game that takes place in a variety of worlds, each with its own distinct aesthetic (ice world, volcanic world, wastelands, forest…) Certain areas of the world can only be accessed after completing specific tasks. The little youngster is capable of jumping, ducking, climbing, and performing fundamental offensive techniques. In addition to the third-person view, a first-person view is also accessible when viewing, performing certain activities, and employing ranged weapons. Throughout the course of the quest, Brave gains additional talents that enable him to follow monsters by their scents or their tracks, imitate animal sounds in order to entice or confuse monsters, summon monsters, or invoke shaman powers in order to transform himself into an animal (an eagle, a bear, a rabbit, and even a skunk). To restore one’s health, one must first slaughter animals and destroy plants. Additionally, Brave has the ability to collect up to five eagle feathers, which grants him the ability to stock up on shaman power and gives him greater strength for a period of time.
The exploration gameplay has been interspersed with action moments, such as when you ride a buffalo or an eagle while you’re battling or paddle down river rapids while doing so. There is an adjustable difficulty level, which is mirrored in the number of clues Grey Bear delivers through a “mobile stone.” The game places a major focus on mobility and platform-jumping, and there is also an option for the player to choose their own character. There are a variety of weapons, such as spears, tomahawks, and arrows, which can be found in close proximity to the powers. In addition, the Brave game allows players to look for hidden totems that, when found, reveal concept art in the main menu.
