Desert Storm is a shooter that can be played from either the first or the third person, and the perspective can be changed with the press of a button. It may be infiltrating a base, destroying a SAM site, or assassinating an opposing general. Still, whatever the mission, you and your team are tasked with accomplishing its objectives. You have individual control over each of your men and the ability to issue commands to them. Your soldiers can be commanded to engage in combat, flee, follow, remain, and do many other activities. If the mission requires it, you must drive tanks and jeeps around while the other squad members operate the guns mounted on the vehicle.
Additionally, you can play up to four-player co-op with a group of friends, with each person controlling a different member of your squad. If you did an excellent job during the mission, the bravery of your men would be recognized and rewarded with medals at the end of the task. If you put in the necessary amount of effort, you might even be able to win the Medal of Honor. The game includes a co-op campaign that can be played by two players simultaneously.
