Constantine

The main character in Vertigo DC’s Hellblazer comic is named John Constantine. This game is based on the Keanu Reeves film Constantine. The player takes on the role of Constantine, a modern-day mage/exorcist/demon slayer. A man who fights Evil while remaining cynical and skeptical of Good. He also smokes heavily. The game is played in the third person, shifting to the first person when the hero enters tight spaces. Constantine aims to figure out how and why Demons have managed to enter Earth despite ancient laws prohibiting it physically. He employs a variety of holy weapons and artifacts, ranging from twin revolvers (dubbed the Witch’s Curse) that shoot Holy Land stones to Holy Water Bombs and the Cross Shotgun. Constantine can also use offensive magic that the souls of slain demons power. He will frequently be forced to travel to Hell to avoid obstacles, which resembles a perpetually ablaze and decaying version of our world. Each level is linear and sequentially played, following most of the movie’s plot, with a few sections added in or stretched out to allow for more action. Hidden cards in levels will allow you to access cutscene animatics, concept art, and interviews with the film’s stars.
