The scenario of the original Crash of the Titans is continued in the sequel, Crash: Mind over Mutant, which follows directly in its footsteps.
The Titans from the prior game have managed to escape Dr. Cortex’s control and have now established themselves in a number of different locations across the Wumpa Islands. However, Cortex and Nitrus Brio have collaborated on the development of a technology that will allow them to exert influence over both the Bandicoots and the Titans. Now, Crash and his companions need to discover where Cortex is hiding so that they can stop him before he can carry out his dastardly plan.
Crash’s ability to destroy lesser foes with a low-powered strike is limited, though; in order to prevail over larger foes, he must utilize a higher-powered weapon. Crash is also capable of avoiding and blocking strikes. In the same manner as in Crash of the Titans, Crash has the ability to assume command of any Titans he comes across. However, he is able to bring the Titans along with him this time and call upon them whenever he finds it necessary. Crash is able to improve not just his own attacks but also the attacks of the Titans that he currently possesses as he continues to vanquish an increasing number of foes.
A new 3D game, exclusive to the Nintendo DS, was recently made available.
