Critical Velocity

Critical Velocity (formerly Rune Chaser), an original racing title explicitly created for the PlayStation 2, is Namco’s first major Japanese racing franchise since Ridge Racer. Namco Japan started the game, a free-roaming, story-driven driving adventure with a massive city environment and multiple plot-driven missions. Targets must be pursued, obstacles must be destroyed, angry racers must be avoided, and other tasks must be completed. Every included vehicle is also based on a real-life counterpart. And while none have an official license or logo, they are divided into three categories: sports cars, sedans, and RVs.
