In the not-too-distant future, the world learns about the presence of extraterrestrial life after a UFO crashes in Tokyo. The stranded aliens, who eventually become known as DearS due to their humanoid appearance and behavior, originate from a vastly different civilization than humans. Even if communication with their homeworld is quickly restored, many DearS remain on Earth and integrate into human society. Peach-manga Pit’s served as the inspiration for DearS, a game that combines elements of a visual novel and a relationship simulator. The player’s role is that of Takeya Ikuhara, a high school student who, until recently, lived alone but has recently welcomed two young female DearS into his home. Their names are Ren and Tina, and they see Takeya as their master. The game is divided into days, and players can access various options and locales based on the time of day and the day of the week they are playing. The player must converse with different playable characters to advance the plot and develop deeper connections with each character. In particular, Ren and Tina can be shown favor by Takeya by receiving gifts and commands, such as preparing a meal or reading a book. This will result in growth in both their qualities and their fondness for Takeya. Several events will take place in response to the player’s choices, and the game’s objective is to bring about a “happy ending” for each character.
