ESPN NBA 2K5 is a video game published on September 28, 2004, for the Xbox, and on September 30, 2004, for the PlayStation 2. Sega and Global Star Software developed the game. The Association (a basketball season), 24/7, Street basketball, and Tournaments are some gameplay modes available. You can also acquire bobble heads and teams. Visual Concepts is responsible for the game’s graphical design. Ben Wallace, who plays center for the Detroit Pistons, is featured on the cover. Wallace was the first athlete, not Allen Iverson, to be featured on the surface of a game in the NBA 2K series. The voices of Stuart Scott, play-by-play announcer Bob Fitzgerald, color commentator Bill Walton, and sideline reporter Michele Tafoya can be heard throughout the contest. It is the final installment of the NBA 2K series to be published by Sega, who later gave Visual Concepts to Take Two Interactive, which led to the formation of 2K Sports.
