F1 Challenge ’99-’02 covers four full championship seasons and includes accurate data for each team, vehicle, and driver that competed during those seasons. F1 Challenge ’99-’02 spans four racing seasons and features 14 special units, 44 unique cars, and 17 of the most renowned racing circuits in the world, some of which feature slightly altered layouts depending on the season. Each track has its real-life structures, bumps in the way, motion-captured pit crews, animated grid girls, and airplanes and helicopters flying above the sky. The level of detail in the game’s visuals appears unparalleled compared to other games in its genre. The game’s automobiles have realistic driving physics and damage models that consider the materials from which the various parts of the vehicle are constructed. The good news is that players can access the same kind of data telemetry that real drivers and their teams do. This means that it should be possible to devise suitable car setups for each circuit, thereby reducing the likelihood of getting into an accident.
