The 2006 installment of EA Sports’ series of football simulation video games, FIFA 07 (also known as FIFA Football 07 and FIFA 07 Soccer), was released in September of that year. EA Canada created it, and Electronic Arts are the company that published it. It was the first game in the FIFA series to be released on the Xbox 360 console and the last game in the FIFA series to be released for the GameCube, Xbox, and Game Boy Advance consoles. The visuals and physics engine of the next generation that are used in the Xbox 360 version will be exclusive to that console for one year. Moreover, it was made available on the personal computer, Nintendo DS, PlayStation Portable, and PlayStation 2 platforms. Depending on the part of the world you purchase FIFA 07, you can choose from one of seven alternative covers, each of which features a different player. Ronaldinho (FC Barcelona) was featured on the game’s cover. He was joined on the surfaces by Landon Donovan (Los Angeles Galaxy) and Francisco Fonseca (UANL Tigres) in North America; Wayne Rooney (Manchester United) in the United Kingdom, Australia, and the Benelux countries; Lukas Podolski (Bayern Munich) in Germany; David Villa (Valencia) in Spain; Kaká (Milan) in Italy; During the 2007–08 season, FIFA 07 was a sponsor of Accrington Stanley, and at that time, the FIFA 07 emblem was placed on the back of the team’s shirts.
