New York City has been taken over by the Soviet Union! Chris Stone is merely a plumber, and he has no desire to change his lifestyle in any significant way after he retires from the trade. Until the Soviets kidnapped his brother Troy and charged him with being a terrorist, he had no idea what was going on (i.e. freedom fighter). Now it is Chris’s responsibility to make contact with the genuine freedom fighters, rescue his brother, and ultimately drive the invaders out of New York City.
A third-person shooter with squad-based tactics is featured in Freedom Fighters. Players have access to a wide array of standard weapons, including pistols, revolvers, assault rifles, submachine guns, shotguns, rocket launchers, and grenades, among others. As you progress through the game, you will unlock the ability to take control of other members of your squad. Eventually, you will have up to a dozen different freedom fighters in your squad, all of whom will be battling with you in your mission to expel the invaders.
