The plot of Fullmetal Alchemist 2 is based on the manga and anime series of the same name, and it chronicles the adventures of two brothers named Edward and Alphonse Elric. It is a prologue to Fullmetal Alchemist and the Broken Angel for the PlayStation 2 console, and it includes thirty minutes of original animation that is exclusive to the game. Players take control of Edward while Alphonse acts as a sidekick in the gameplay modeled after role-playing action games. Through the power of alchemy, Edward can transform commonplace items into a wide array of weapons that he and Al can wield.
