Gaelic Games: Hurling is the Gaelic Athletic Association’s officially licensed sport. Hurling is a high-energy Gaelic sport played with sticks (hurleys) and a ball (the sliotar). Hurling comprises all 32 County teams, over 300 Club teams, and 12 major stadiums, including Croke Park, Casement Park, Parnell Park, St Tiernach’s Park, Semple Stadium, O’Moore Park, Hyde Park, Fitzgerald Stadium, Pairc U Chaoimh, Parc Tailteann. Single Match, Season Mode, Manager Mode, Mission Mode, and Training Mode are the game modes in Gaelic Games: Hurling. Single Match is the quickest way to play hurling. Set your favorite team on the Single Match summary screen, then randomize the other settings, such as home and away teams, stadium, weather, and rules. With these historical matches, Mission mode allows you to take on the challenge and feel the pressure. Each mission presents a team challenge, ranging from seemingly impossible score deficits to razor-thin leads with seconds left on the clock. Manager mode progresses from season to season, with features such as a new calendar view of the fixtures, new training to guide your players’ development, season stats for all league players, and leaderboards for all stats categories. The game’s extensive team editing functions allow you to change the names of the County team players and all details of the Club teams, such as the team name, uniform style and colors, and the names, appearance, and details of each player. The game also supports the Cameo EyeToy and Digimask, which allow a player to put their head into the game on top of another player. The PS2 multitap allows for four-player multiplayer. The Official GAA Hurling / Football Skills DVD is included in the game. This DVD contains routines that can be practiced to help master the game’s essential skills.
