The Gauntlet is being replayed in yet another version. The Emperor’s insatiable hunger for the immortality of his four most trusted heroes led him to crucify them to a magical tree and hang them there. He came to regret all the evil things he had done hundreds of years later, when he was only a ghost, he freed them, urging them to defeat his six former advisors in an attempt to repair what he had done.
This iteration of Gauntlet reverts to the game’s more traditional gameplay, in which the warrior, valkyrie, elf, and wizard must battle their way through hordes of foes in order to reach the game’s six bosses. The majority of the gameplay consists of hacking and slashing enemies, and the puzzles consist of locating keys and clicking buttons to activate doors and portals. Every character has a distinct arsenal of abilities, such as the warrior’s relatively powerful assaults, the valkyrie’s swift movements, the elf’s ability to fire powerful arrows, and the wizard’s array of magical range attacks.
Defeating foes provides you with experience points that may be utilized to boost your three stats; some chests throughout the levels carry stronger armor or weapons. In addition, new movements can be acquired by spending gold.
The game can be played either in single-player mode or in cooperative multiplayer mode, in which up to four players can battle against each other simultaneously.
The newest feature of this game (other than the considerably better graphics) is the online gameplay option. When played online, the game is exactly the same as when it is played in a traditional multiplayer setting, with each player controlling a distinct box.
