The console version of the PC game Ghost Master is called Ghost Master: The Gravenville Chronicles. In this strategy game, you take on the role of the scourge of humanity by managing haunting teams made up of various ghosts. The levels, usually based on famous horror movie scenes, require you to scare mortals while completing additional objectives such as freeing trapped ghosts. Deployed spirits must be bound to specific objects known as fetters that match their type. Scaring humans allows you to collect plasm, the game’s leading resource. Plasm can be used to find new ghosts or to enhance their abilities. Rather than deploying many creatures, the game rewards inventive use of limited resources to haunt mortals in novel ways. Every person has a belief meter. Identifying each person’s weakness is critical. They become more susceptible to various phenomena and provide more plasm as you exploit this. You will face fierce opposition along the way, as ghost breakers, priests, and witches can detect and ban your ghosts. The game isn’t a straight port. Instead, Sick Puppies hired Spiral House to modify the original codebase to make it more user-friendly for consoles. This includes a complete redesign of the interface to make commands easier to access, the addition of battle elements to the regular missions to speed up the game’s pace, a more linear game structure, and a redesign of ghost control. They now have less AI and more variety in the types, necessitating careful use of the plasm pool to deploy the most appropriate ghost for each situation.
