This is the next game in the Grand Theft Auto series, and it is set in Liberty City once again, just like GTA 3.
This time around, the events take place in the year 1998, and you find yourself following in Toni Cipriani’s footsteps. As is customary for the series, you begin the game in a relatively low position and work your way up the food chain of the mafia by engaging in conflict with other mafia families and engaging in a variety of other types of shady activities.
The game is set in the Grand Theft Auto universe, and as such, you will occasionally run into characters that you have met in earlier installments of the series. Despite this, the narrative of the game is fairly self-contained and only makes a limited number of references to previous happenings and occurrences.
You can play mini-games as a pizza delivery boy, vigilante, cab driver, and more besides, just as in the previous games. All the other well-known elements from the previous games are included.
The PSP version is capable of supporting multiplayer contests. The deathmatches, king of the hill, and capture the flag competitions are open to as many as six criminals each.
