Grandia Xtreme

The Spirits, formerly responsible for guarding the world, are now at large. When they ran amok, they conjured up monsters that upset the balance of nature throughout the planet and sparked a conflict between two powerful nations, ultimately destroying everything. After many years of conflict and suffering, the two nations eventually signed a peace deal. They want to concentrate on working together to track down and destroy the mad Spirits. You take control of a young kid named Evan who aspires to follow in his father’s footsteps and become a Ranger (a combatant with special powers) like his father before him. But, to be initiated as a Ranger, he must first complete a critical mission and contribute to the defense of his world against the Spirits. Grandia Xtreme was the first game in the Grandia series to be released for the Playstation 2 platform. Its fighting system is almost identical to the ones seen in the two games that came before it, consisting of a mix of tactical preparation and combo attacks. Your party members can move freely and dodge assaults from adversaries, and the effectiveness of their attacks is proportional to how close they are to their foes. Compared to the other two games in the series, Grandia Xtreme focuses less on the narrative and more on the action, with more dungeons, battles, and overall activity.
