A terrible virus wiped out millions in the twenty-first century. The vaccine was discovered, but the world was in chaos then. A new world order emerged, dividing the globe into above and below distinct but interdependent worlds. Above is a high-rise, high-tech metropolis served by elevators and elevated freeways—a haven for hard workers and law-abiding citizens.

In contrast to the world Above, the world Below, the result of earthquake damage, is a subterranean network of labor colonies. Those who are not wanted Above for various reasons are sent Below. One day, a seasoned Headhunter, Jack Wade accepted a call to investigate an intrusion into the upper levels. When confronted with the trespasser, Jack saw potential in the girl and, rather than turning her in, gave her a second chance… to become his apprentice. Jack has returned, but this time he is accompanied by his sidekick Leeza X. They will face whatever threat lurks from the world Below together. The game is played in the third-person, with the ability to rotate the camera or set it behind your back with a single click. IRIS is the main accessory of Headhunter (Intelligent Realtime Information Scanner). When you get the IRIS, you’ll be able to scan every item simply by pointing the gun at it, or you can use the scanner in first-person view to examine the surroundings in greater detail. IRIS will also provide you with a full 3D map with enemies displayed so you can avoid them or use stealth if necessary. Enemies will hear you running and shooting, so if you choose to act, be aware that they will surround you and launch a team strike from all sides. Aside from your weapon, your only effective weapon against them is the ability to roll or lean against the walls and fire from the corners, though aiming may be difficult as your hand will not be steady while moving or panicking.
