Homura

You play the role of a samurai in Homura, a fantastical take on Japan’s Edo period. The game features vertically scrolling shooting stages, and you control the samurai as he flies through them. You can give your samurai the ability to shoot, use a bomb that clears the screen, and slash with his sword. The slash attack is an essential part of the gameplay in Homura since it allows you to deflect opponent bullets and send them flying back in their direction. The gameplay in Homura is divided into four levels, with stages one through three offering various branching options each. The bosses in Homura can take on multiple forms. The gameplay is reminiscent of an old arcade game.
