Despite its name, Itadaki Street 3 is the fourth installment in the long-running Itadaki Street series. Players take turns moving around the board, divided into districts of multiple properties, in this Monopoly-inspired digital board game. Landing on a property allows you to purchase it, and owning multiple properties in the same neighborhood increases their value, but landing on another player’s property requires you to pay them based on the property’s value. Other types of spaces can also be found around the board: chance spaces allow you to draw a card with a random effect, transport spaces transport you to distant locations, and the ever-useful bank gives you a bonus when you reach it. This is the series’ first title to be presented in full 3D, with elaborate backgrounds for each map. An extensive tutorial mode also teaches new players how to play the game. In addition to the standard Free Play and Tournament modes, there are two new modes: Training mode, in which the player teaches a computer-controlled character by example, attempting to train them to be a top player, and Itadaki Quest, which assigns specific single-player objectives to complete on pre-defined maps. There are over 30 maps to play, including some from previous titles.
