Kaido Racer

Kaido Racer is a fast-paced racing game that faithfully recreates some of Japan’s most dangerous mountain courses. Each race pits you against a team of computer-controlled drivers (or a friend in two-player mode) and alternates between official daytime tournaments and more lucrative nighttime events. Kaido has four ‘Battle’ events you must complete to earn enough money to upgrade your vehicle. ‘SP Battle’ requires you to keep a special gauge as full as possible by staying in the first place and driving aggressively; ‘CA Battle’ rewards masterful drifting; ‘FL/LF Battle’ challenges you to either stay in the first place or claw your way to the front from last place; and ‘TAC Battle’ adds a strict time limit to SP Battle rules. Kaido Racer also has a story mode where you’ll meet rival drivers like Slasher, Tricker, and Lovers, each with a driving style that reflects their personality. You’ll communicate with them through a simple simulated mail system, gathering tips and distributing challenges via message boards.
